Fashion Trends I Love

Hi everyone! I haven't talked about fashion at all on this blog but I thought I would give it a try. Fashion is one of the most important aspects of my life and I just really needed a place where I could share my thoughts and inspirations.

I have been really loving the look of berets these days. They're just so cute and chic. I especially love this royal blue one in this picture below. They add that extra pop to your outfit and remind me of baguettes lol.

I don't know, I feel like my style is really diverse because I will like hip hop style one day and then like European or a minimalistic style the next day.

I really like oversized denim jackets. Like they have to be really big. Oh and I love patches. I am obsessed with patches like they are so cute.

These days I have been seriously obsessed with looking at photos from Seoul Fashion Week. Just you know crying on the inside because I probably won't be able to go ever. 

Next are some brands that I've been really loving the look of. PLAYNOMORE is yet another Korean brand that I just find very happy and unique. I feel like they kind of give a child-like look to their products.

Another brand that I seriously love is Comme des Garcons. It's actually a Japanese brand which I was really surprised about because the name is French. They have this heart with eyes on all of their products and it's just so cute.

Troye Sivan: Blue Neighbourhood Album

Hi everyone! I've recently fallen in love with Troye Sivan and his new album: Blue Neighbourhood because it is so good. The songs are just so amazing and you just have to go listen to them.
 This was actually Troye's debut album!! and I'm just so excited for absolutely no reason at all. Like I'm just really happy to find such good music.

My favorite songs on this album are Youth and Fools. Troye Sivan is SO good at singing and his songs are just so calming. I really recommend listening to his album and it'll like change your life. Thank you for reading and here's the song Youth if you want to listen!

My Favorite Drama at the Moment: Oh My Venus

Before I watched this drama, I actually thought it wouldn't be fun. But my mom happened to be watching the first episode, and I was really bored so I joined in. I WAS SO WRONG. This drama became my favorite drama and I seriously live everyday just waiting for Monday and Tuesday because that's when the episodes come out.

The story focuses on Kang Jooeun (Shin Minah) who used to be a slim and beautiful girl called Daegu's Venus by the people around her. She's now a fat grownup lawyer and her boyfriend of 14 years cheated on her with her best friend from law school who used to be fat but is now skinny and pretty. She meets Kim Youngho (So Jisub), a trainer who helps her lose weight and the two fall in love.
This drama is just so happy and completely lifts up my spirits. It makes me extremely happy like I'm on Cloud 9 every day. It's as if I'm in love even though I'm not!!
First of all, the main actors, So Jisub and Shin Minah work so well together. They act so well and they look so good together.

And can we just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful So Jisub is? Like look at him. EEEE! HE'S SO CUTE

And Shin Minah looks so cute when she's fat.

So far, the episodes are focusing on Jooeun losing weight, and it's really nice to see her slowly losing weight unlike other dramas where the female protagonist loses 100 pounds in like a day. Also, the trio is so cute!!

Henry really adds a lot of comedy to the drama, making it very light-spirited. And he adds to 100000 pounds of cuteness this drama already has.

The latest episode was episode 6 and I seriously was screaming the whole episode because So Jisub was being so cute to her. Ahhhh!!! I seriously CAN'T EVEN because of this drama...

A Day at Descanso Gardens

Descanso Gardens is a really beautiful place just to relax and walk around in nature. I went with my parents over the weekend and it was really nice. I'm hoping to go again soon because it was just so pretty there.
First walking into the garden, I went to the Japanese Garden. This was the place I was the most excited for mainly because I seriously love Japanese culture. There was a stream and a red bridge. The overall vibe was so calming and it really felt like I was in Japan for that moment.

Descanso was actually pretty big, as we walked around I saw this pond with cute lily pads on it.

After that we went on over to Boddy House, where there was an art gallery on display. On the outside there was a vertical garden, which was so cool. 

The gallery was quite small with about 3 rooms. The art pieces were really pretty, and here are some of my favorites.

After that, we scurried to the cafe to have lunch. The menu was quite small but the foods sounded so delicious. We got the portobello mushroom and provolone sandwich and the tuna salad sandwich. The sandwiches were so big, and although they felt a bit dry, they tasted really good.

Nearing the end of the garden's hours, we went to the lake and watched the birds. Then we walked to the waterfall, which was my favorite.

My Favorite Songs at the Moment!

Hello! It's finally November and that means it's almost holiday season! With the new season comes many new Kpop songs and here's 4 songs that I seriously love and think you should listen to too.

First up is Hot Pink by EXID. This song actually came out today and it's so catchy. Hot Pink is an energetic pop song that had me dancing so much. The music video opens with the members with new hair colors that immediately caught my eye.

This song is really upbeat and I seriously recommend listening it if you just want to get turnt.

The next two songs are from Unpretty Rapstar 2 and I've always heard of this show but I've never actually watched it. I was really bored one day so I decided to watch it and it was the Semifinals episode and all of the songs the rappers made were so good!!! And KittiB's performance was like amazing btw but anyways, here are my favorite songs from the semifinals.

Ruedy Boogie by Truedy ft. Tiffany (SNSD) is so amazing. The beat, the tune, and Truedy's rap, like everything just played together so well. I've actually never heard of Truedy, but after this song I'm now her fan. Tiffany's part was actually really good and her voice really matched well with Truedy. This song is life and it's just so happy. Y'all should listen to it because it's just so good~

The next song is This Ain't Me by Jiyoon (4Minute) ft. Ilhoon (BTOB). This song is really powerful and I really feel Jiyoon's emotions from her rap. And Ilhoon's voice-- I can't even. It's so beautiful like I had a fangirl attack right when I heard his voice. This song is also a sick song that won't disappoint you. Jiyoon actually lost against KittiB, but I have to say that KittiB was amazing, and her song, Rhonda Rousey Flow was also good.


Last song is 4 Walls by f(x). I jam to this song like everyday and I really think that f(x) is improving so much as a group and even though Sulli left, they're doing fine. I love this concept, like it's so retro and cute.

IU- CHAT-SHIRE Album Review

First of all, let me just say I have been waiting for IU to have a comeback in YEARS. I am a hardcore Uaena and when this album came out today, I was SO HAPPY. Like, SQUEEEEEE!!!

"CHAT-SHIRE" is another fantasy-themed mini-album and it's Alice in Wonderland themed. Let me just say, I was extremely surprised but so happy to see a new side of IU in this album. It was just so amazing. She also composed and produced all of the songs on the album. The songs are just so beautiful and IU is just like, perfect.

1. Shoes 새 신발
This song is probably the song that sounds most fantasy-like to me. As I listen to this song, I feel as if I've just started to start a new love for someone. I feel so young and I'm sure anyone who listens to this song will have their day brightened immediately by IU's angelic vocals.

2. Zezé

Zezé is a song that feels very mischievous. As the song starts, you're immediately taken into the fantasy world of IU and her adventures.

3. Title Track: Twenty-three
Twenty-three is a catchy pop song that I'm sure you'll have on repeat for days. The music video was amazing. It was made so well and I was really reminded of Alice in Wonderland. I extremely hope you all listen to it. It's so amazing that I had to jump all around my house just to let out my excitement.

4. 푸르던 The shower
This song is very relaxing and makes you feel like you're in Europe exploring the places you've always wanted to go to. IU's voice is so soft, and goes so well with the light music. The accordion is probably what's making it sound so Europe-y but it makes the song so nice.

5. Red Queen ft. Zion T
Zion T is one of my favorite people, so I automatically love this song. 
6. 무릎 Knees
Knees is a very gentle song that will touch your heart. IU actually released this song before this album came out, but I guess she decided to put it in this album. 
7. 안경 Glasses
This is honestly my favorite song on the album. The melody, everything is just, wow. I honestly love this song as much as the title track. Glasses is amazing and it makes me love IU even more. This song is my favorite at the moment, along with Twenty-Three and I'm probably never going to get over this song.

Overall, CHAT-SHIRE was absolutely amazing. It surpassed my expectations like crazy and I really hope you listen to the album too. The Alice in Wonderland theme was amazing. If you love fantasy, this album is seriously for you.

Album Review: Taeyeon- I

Hi everyone! It's already the start of fall and everyone is getting crazy over Halloween. With the start of a new season, there are also new comebacks along with it. And Taeyeon (from SNSD) made her solo debut with a mini album!

I have to say, I was extremely excited for this mainly because Taeyeon is my bias and because she's such a good singer. This album was a very refreshing change for her, and the songs are all really good. I wrote these reviews while listening to the album for the first time.

1. Title Track: I ft. Verbal Jint
The title track is so refreshing, with her voice perfectly living up to the expectations of the tune and harmony. This song is feels so inspiring, and it feels more like a spring song. It also reminds me of a soundtrack for Lion King. The chorus is just so nice and Taeyeon's beautiful voice makes this song.

2. U R
"U R" feels more like a ballad. This song has more of a fall vibe and it contains more verses than the actual chorus. It's a very powerful song and Taeyeon's voice just fills the song with so much emotion like the feels. She expresses the song perfectly.
3. Gemini
This song is extremely GOOD. The melodies, everything is on point. Gemini is an R&B track, and just blew me away. I like this song almost as much as the title track, and that says a lot.

4. Stress
"Stress" is a pop song and is really catchy. It sounds like it could have been the title track.

5. Farewell
"Farewell is another ballad song. It feels like a Christmas song. While listening to this song, I feel like snow is falling outside with my love waiting outside for me. LOL, like that'll ever happen though.

6. I- Instumental Ver.
The song itself was composed so well. By itself, it's still such a good song.

My Favorite Korean Drama at the Moment: She was Pretty(그녀는 예뻤다)

Hi everyone! I have been really into Korean dramas these days because the current ones are SO good. My favorite is especially "She Was Pretty."

This drama is about a girl named Kim Hyejin who was pretty when she was younger and is now ugly and a guy named Ji Sungjoon who was ugly when he was younger and is now hot. They were childhood friends and meet again when they're older.

One of the things I really like about this drama is the light-hearted, comedy elements. Hwang Jungeum, who plays Kim Hyejin, is extremely funny and perfectly acts out the role.

Also, the backgrounds in this drama is so pretty!! Like The Most Workplace, where Hyejin and Sungjoon work. It's like my dream workplace...

I REALLY recommend watching this drama if you're looking for something funny and upbeat.

Song of the Day: Red Velvet- Dumb Dumb

Hello everyone! I'd like to share a song with you that has been seriously stuck in my head these past days. I really like the whole album, "The Red" by Red Velvet, and the title track "Dumb Dumb" is so catchy. I seriously love their concept and I really recommend this song.

My Favorite Anime at the Moment: Ore Monogatari!! (My Love Story!!)

I have been craving anime a lot lately, and not many of the anime out nowadays have been satisfying me as much as this one. Ore Monogatari is a very happy, easy-going anime that de-stresses me when I come home from school. It's about a high school boy named Gouda Takeo who is gigantic and muscular and is not very popular with the girls. In fact, he finds that every girl he has a crush on actually like his extremely handsome and cool best friend Sunakawa Makoto. However, one day in the subway he saves a girl named Rinko Yamato from a groper and they start dating!! Then the anime just shows their every-day lives.

The story is so funny. They add in a bunch of comedy elements into each episode, sure to make you laugh until you cry (well at least I did). 

The anime is already almost to an end, and I'm trying to savor the last episodes. Hopefully, there'll be a second season, considering its popularity.

Big Bang- Bang Bang Bang

I have been seriously loving this song. I feel like I'm in a nightclub and I can just dance the night away. I have been in such an energetic mood these days, this song is perfect to finish off the day. And to top it off, the choreography is beautiful. I'm sure my fellow Big Bang fans will understand what I mean when I say that. And G-Dragon<333333 I hope you guys enjoy this song!

Smoked Corn on the Cob~

Hi everyone! I've been really into cooking these days, especially for the aesthetic. As I was watching a Korean show, they showed this beautiful corn on the cob with butter. It looked so gorgeous so I decided to try making it at home.

I don't have any artificial lighting so I tried to use the sun to make the photo seem good. As you can see I took pictures of the corn at multiple angles, to get the perfect picture but I'm not so sure if these turned out well.

I looked up this recipe online and I didn't have parmesan cheese or paprika so I first smoked it with butter on the corns, and slathered another small amount of butter on them. And to top it off, I sprinkled chopped green onions on them. The green onions added an amazing, savory taste. Plus, it gives it a finished look great for pictures and snacks when guests come over,
